Dr. Rick W. Smith Sr. has over 30 years of experience in higher education administration, nonprofit leadership, healthcare administration, public relations and marketing, and television news. He is Simmons College of Kentucky’s Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Administrative Projects. He previously served as the Vice President of External Relations and Economic Partnerships for the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. Prior appointments include serving as the President and CEO of the United Way of Ross County, Ohio. Dr. Smith holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Bradley University and multiple other academic degrees and credentials. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Incorporated.
